Five workshops coming up in West Sussex.
There are more than 6,000 business contracts on offer for the London 2012 Games. Around 15 West Sussex businesses have won 2012 related contracts so far, and are providing services including electronics, IT, logistics and retail for the Olympics and Paralympics.The forthcoming workshops provide a chance for more businesses to get involved.
Five 2012 business support workshops will take place in West Sussex between September and November, organised by Business Link:
Monday September 14 Bid Writing and Tendering Workshop, Crawley Civic Hall: to inform businesses of best practice if shortlisted for a London 2012 contract, or bidding for a public sector contract.
Monday October 5 Fit2Supply Workshop, Shoreham Airport, Shoreham-by-Sea: to help businesses prepare to bid for contracts, how to bid, and what to do if shortlisted.
Tuesday October 20 Quality Management Workshop, at Business Link, Burgess Hill: to support businesses to produce a Quality Management Statement, needed to compete for London 2012 and public sector contracts.
Wednesday November 4 Quality Management Workshop, Felbridge Hotel and Spa, East Grinstead: as above.
Thursday November 26 Bid Writing and Tendering Workshop, Chichester College, Chichester Campus: to help businesses have a greater understanding of how to complete Pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ), Intentions to Tender (ITT), Expressions of Interest (EOI) and tender documents.
The workshops in Crawley and Burgess Hill have been organised as a follow-up the successful Gatwick and Crawley ‘Meet the Buyers’ event. All will help any business wanting to compete for a 2012 or a public sector contract, and are free to attend.
