Participate Mid Sussex is a new exciting, feel good campaign launching this month.
Participate Mid Sussex is a 3 year campaign, which aims to get more people involved in sports, physical activity, arts, healthy lifestyles, volunteering, sustainability, training and decision making.
As part of this campaign and wider West Sussex "Ahead of the Game" celebrating the 2012 Games, Participate Mid Sussex will provide a local flavour to the celebrations through the themed activities such as the hatching of the "Mid Sussex Egg". This was presented on official Olympic handover day in 2008 and this summer the egg will hatch into a mythical creature providing Mid Sussex with a mascot for the next few years.
Participate Mid Sussex focuses on promoting lots of fantastic opportunities for people living and working in the District to participate in a variety of activities and shall also be part of the London 2012 ‘Open up’ Weekend when Olympos Burgess Hill open their doors and provide some fantastic activities including a giant Tim Henman tennis game and other giant games. Lots of other activities will be taking place and some fantastic membership deals will be on offer!
