Personal Best, the London 2012 pre-employment programme, took place at Worthing Football Club's Study Support Centre in Lancing, through Albion in the Community. Personal Best offered local unemployed people and those working part-time a learning and support into work programme. It included training, CV and job interview skills, plus a volunteering opportunity, leading to a national Level 1 qualification.
Personal Best graduates were encouraged to apply to be Games-makers, and volunteer at the London 2012 Olympic Games or Paralympic Games. Albion in the Community supported around thirty Personal Best graduates with their applications, including nine learners from West Sussex.
