Children Playing Football

The official London 2012 Education Programme, Get Set, is up and running.

Driven by an interactive website featuring a whole host of flexible resources for 3-19 year olds, Get Set is giving children and young people across the UK the chance to learn about the Olympic and Paralympic values, and play their part in the 2012 Games.

To get started, schools, colleges and other community providers need to register on the Get Set website – over 90 West Sussex schools have already taken this step.

Two West Sussex advanced skills teachers have reviewed the ‘Get Set’ website and have produced helpful summaries of their findings for both the primary (98kb) and secondary (80kb) sectors.

London 2012 has recently launched its special new community, the Get Set network. Any school or college registered with Get Set can apply to join the network. Schools and colleges need to demonstrate a commitment to the Olympic and Paralympic Values. Members of the network gain access to the London 2012 education logo, which they can use on their school sign, headed paper, website and newsletter.  They will also be given priority access to exclusive London 2012 rewards and opportunities. To find out more, Visit the London 2012 Get Set network.

To share your ideas and work with the London 2012 education team, email education@london2012.com and you could feature on the Get Set map!
