The official London 2012 Education Programme, Get Set, is being acccessed by more than 65% of schools and colleges across West Sussex.
Driven by an interactive website featuring a whole host of flexible resources for 3-19 year olds, Get Set is giving children and young people across the UK the chance to learn about the Olympic and Paralympic values, and play their part in the 2012 Games.
To get started, schools, colleges and other community providers need to register on the Get Set website.
Congratulations go to ten West Sussex schools for becoming the first in the county to join the London 2012 Education Programme's Get Set Network.
Any school or college registered with Get Set can apply to join in. Schools and colleges need to demonstrate a commitment to the Olympic and Paralympic Values. Members of the Network gain access to the London 2012 education logo, which they can use on their school sign, headed paper, website and newsletter. They are also given priority access to exclusive London 2012 rewards and opportunities. To find out more, visit the London 2012 Get Set Network.
London 2012 have created a series of Get Set network toolkits to help schools and colleges submit their applications. There are different versions of the toolkit depending on what type of school is applying, with specific and relevant case studies and images. There are alsosome sample applications online.
